Cannabidiol is the major component of Hemp Extract and is the major non-psychoactive component of Cannabis Sativa. In 2013, the British Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, published that the CBD benefits include the following: Anti-inflammatory, anticonvulsant, antioxidant, antiemetic, anxiolytic, and antipsychotic agent. This could be used as potential treatment of neuroinflammation, epilepsy, oxidative injury, vomiting and nausea, anxiety, and schizophrenia. CBD doesn’t have mind-altering effects because it has very little effect on CB1 and CB2 receptors. (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22625422).
CBD Isolate or referred to as Crystalline Cannabidiol is the most pure form of CBD. It is broken down into a powdery white substance that is THC-Free. THC or Tetra Hydro Cannabinol is the psychoactive cannabinoid of Medical Marijuana. Isolate products are a perfect choice for those who want a THC-Free product.
Full-Spectrum or Whole Plant Extract keeps the full properties of the hemp pant intact; including terpenes, cannabinoids, vitamins, minerals, fatty acids, phytonutrients and others. Other cannabinoids that are in the hemp plant each have their own unique benefit, such as THCV which an appetite suppressant. The benefit of using Full-Spectrum products is that they theoretically have an “entourage effect”; this means that all the components of the hemp plant work together for a more beneficial effect. Utilizing Full-Spectrum CBD products contain a small level of THC, but to considered a Hemp product the extract must have less than 0.3% THC. This extremely small amount does not result in a high. Higher grade Full-Spectrum CBD products can have the THC completely removed which also lowers the potency of CBD.
Broad-Spectrum products offer the same benefits as Full-Spectrum products except for Broad-Spectrum products contain Zero-THC. High quality Broad-Spectrum CBD products are much more expensive to produce because it adds an entirely separate process that is time consuming and expensive to do.
*IMPORTANT* The one thing to be careful of with utilizing Full-Spectrum products is that some of the beneficial cannabinoids are a breakdown of THC and are sometimes turned back into THC after consumption. In the end, it really depends on what you’re trying to utilize CBD products for. Both have proven benefits, but if you have any questions please feel free to contact us.

Cannabidiolic Acid (CBG or CBGA)
Natural pain relief is the top of the benefits list. Journal of Experimental Medicine published that in 2012 CBD significantly suppressed chronic inflammation and neuropathic pain in rodents without causing analgesic tolerance. (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22585736)
CBD also produces antipsychotic effects. Additionally, studies show that CBD prevents human experimental psychosis and is effective in open case reports and clinical trials in patients with schizophrenia, with a remarkable safety profile. (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22716160)
Reduction of Anxiety are another one of the benefits of CBD use. Cannabidiol has shown to reduce anxiety in patients with social anxiety disorder and researchers suggest that it may also be effective for panic disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, social anxiety disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder. (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22729452)
CBD helps relieve nausea. In 2012, the British Journal of Pharmacology found that CBD benefits including possessing anti-nausea and antiemetic effects when administered to rats. (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21827451)
Seizure treatment utilizing CBD. Results from 214 people who received Epidiolex (99% CBD) in an open-label study (without a placebo control) and who completed 12 weeks or more on the drug were published in Lancet Neurology (Devinsky O, Marsh E, Friedman D, et al. Cannabidiol in patients with treatment-resistant epilepsy: an open-label interventional trial. Lancet neurology 2015.):
· People who received Epidiolex ranged from 2 to 26 years old with an average age of 11.
· All had epilepsy that did not respond to currently available treatments.
· During the study, seizures decreased by an average of 54%.
· People taking the anti-seizure medication clobazam (Onfi) seemed to have a better response when compared to those that were not on this medication.
In addition, two gold-standard studies using Epidiolex for LGS in children and adults and one with children who have Dravet syndrome showed promising results.
· Drop seizures were reduced in the two LGS studies by over 40% compared to less than 20% for people who got the placebo, which was statistically significant.
· In the Dravet study, approximately 40% reduction in convulsive seizures was noted compared to 17% reduction for the placebo group. Again, significance was found compared to the placebo group.
Cannabidiol reduces intestinal inflammation through the control of the neuroimmune axis. CBD targets enteric reactive gliosis, counteracts the inflammatory environment induced by LPS in mice and in human colonic cultures derived from UC patients. These actions lead to a reduction of intestinal damage mediated by PPARgamma receptor pathway. Our results therefore indicate that CBD indeed unravels a new therapeutic strategy to treat inflammatory bowel diseases.
CBD can help manage the behavioral symptoms of dementia.
CBD studies on animals show promising results that CBD can potentially be used to help treat arthritis by way of treating inflammatory pain.
Hemp Extract helps with inflammation
CBD or Cannabidiol is now approved by the WADA and USADA
While THC is banned from the NCAA drug list, CBD is removed.
CBD can potentially increase coumadin which is the blood thinner in your blood, and it could act as grapefruit juice and raise levels of certain other medications in your blood.
My wife suffers from frequent migraines and back pain. Scents are one of the triggers of her migraines. I recently bought the body lotion and it has provided almost instant relief to her back. I love the fact that it is unscented.
We also bought a pack of the gummies. My wife is very conservative and has been skeptical about taking CBD products. When they arrived she had a migraine coming on and decided she would give it a try. The gummy didn’t get rid of her migraine but stopped it from intensifying. She has tried every drug or treatment option for her migraines but the Vivis gummies have so far proved to be the most beneficial option for her.
The gummies were received well along with the salve and sports cream by my patients. Looking forward to selling Vivis products here at my office.
